Women’s wellness counseling includes listening to your questions and concerns and examining your current lifestyle and genetic factors. At Lee Gynecology, you are never limited in the number of topics you can discuss at your appointment. During an exam, we may cover the following topics or more:

Sexuality and Reproductive Planning

  • Contraceptive options for preventing unwanted pregnancy, including emergency contraception

Health Risk Assessment

  • Aspirin prophylaxis to reduce the risk of stroke (ages 55 to 79 years)
  • Breast self-awareness (may include breast self-examination)
  • Chemoprophylaxis for breast cancer (for high-risk women)
  • Hormone therapy
  • Hygiene (including dental)
  • Injury prevention
  • Sun exposure
  • Suicide and depressive symptoms
  • Tobacco, alcohol and other drug use

Referral to Other Specialists

It is frequently necessary to make a referral to other practitioners in a wide-range of specialties, including genetic counseling, nutrition, oncology, general surgery, endocrinology, sexual counseling, dermatology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, urology, physical therapy and others. Dr. Lee will work with you to facilitate the process with practitioners in the area whom he recommends.
